White, 89, said in a statement earlier this week that she is unable to go with Marine Sgt. Ray Lewis to his event because she will be taping an episode of her TV Land comedy series, "Hot In Cleveland."

"Hi Ray. My name is Linda Hamilton. I don't know if you know who I am but rumor has it that you like your actresses vintage so I just thought I would take a shot here and try to find you," Hamilton, 54, says in a YouTube video, which was posted on Tuesday, July 19.

A representative for the actress confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com that the clip is authentic. The video shows footage of Hamilton working out in a scene from the 1991 film "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." She later faces the camera while wearing a pair of aviator sunglasses.

A person using the same handle as the poster of Lewis' video commented on Hamilton's clip on Tuesday and was the first to respond to it.

"You are amazing - Sgt Ray RSonic Lewis," the person's message said.

The first two "Terminator" films helped made Hamilton and main actor Arnold Schwarzenegger massive stars. She played heroine Sarah Connor, while he portrayed the main cyborg. Hamilton also plays Mary Bartowski on the NBC spy series "Chuck" and is currently working on a film called "Right Next Door" with Ted McGinley.

White became the third celebrity to be asked out via online video.

Actress Mila Kunis and actor and singer Justin Timberlake have already accepted their invites to separate balls, issued by Marine Sgt. Scott Moore and female Marine, Kelsey De Santis, earlier this month.

Their YouTube proposals were posted just ahead of the release of their new film, "Friends With Benefits," which hits theaters on Friday, July 22.

White has become one of the most popular senior television stars, especially following a "Saturday Night Live" hosting stint last year, which earned the "Golden Girls" star her fifth Emmy Award. She is up for another nomination at this year's ceremony for her role as Elka Ostrovsky in "Hot in Cleveland." (Check out a full list of 2011 Emmy nominations.)

"I'm going to leave the shades on because .. my eyes are puffy from crying all night long," Hamilton jokes. "It was just a terrible night, thinking about you and the situation and then Betty called, and I talked to her for hours and I know she feels terrible. So, after my workout this morning and my shower, I just decided that I would try and reach out to you."

"I would be really, really thrilled - if you can't find anybody else, and I know that's unlikely, but if you can't find anybody else - to go to the ball with you," Hamilton adds. "I am no Betty White - I am only half as mature as she is, wink, wink, but I am twice as funny! So I think that works out. Please take me to the ball, please, please, Ray. Call me."
